Unfair loan agreements, which can have a huge impact on people’s debt misery, will be one of the key topics of debate at an event being held at the Earls Court Ibis Hotel next month (July 9th and 10th).
Andrew Leakey, will be among the speakers at the annual Institute of Money Advisors (IMA) conference. He will update those attending on the latest legal developments in the field of debt and consumer credit agreements.
The Institute of Money Advisers (IMA) is a national charity which is the only professional body acting solely for money advisers in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Many of its 1,400 members are expected to attend.
Andrew has been helping people across the UK get out of debt for more than 12 years. He’s an expert in challenging unfair consumer credit agreements and his pioneering work in this area has enabled him to successfully write off hundreds of thousands of pounds of debt for his clients. He has particular expertise in challenging unenforceable loans, a subject which he has been interviewed for on BBC’s Panorama and Channel 4 News.
He said: “We recently polled visitors to our website about what was keeping them awake at night and unsurprisingly, 46 per cent said personal debt was their number one concern right now. Consumers owe a record amount on credit cards and other credit agreements so it’s no surprise that money advisers are seeing huge numbers of visitors through their doors.
“This conference will ensure that those who are at the rock face of the epidemic can give consumers the most up to date advice.”
